THIS PUMP will do the job and do it well with minimal attention and not to mention the easy installation options for this pump. Although 24 volt dc power at 4 amps is needed for. (or reduced amps in lower water lift applications).

Just make sure your power source provides sufficient amperage to operate the pump. Remember: POWER (watts) is equal = to: Volts X Amps and Amps is equal to Watts divided by Voltage.

For example a 50 watt 12 volt panel would supply 4.16 amps. (50 divided by 12=4.16a)...... OR an 80 watt 24 volt panel would supply 3.3amps, etc.

If motor operates and is pumping water, you are good to go. A storage battery with charge controller is a perfect option to connect either: Solar PV panel(s) OR wind generator, etc to the pump to leave unattended as this will negate any problems with wind generator power production in low wind situations or solar PV panels in low lite conditions when the power produced is insufficient to run the pump. Note: IF YOU HAVE A 4 INCH DIAMETER WELL CASING: You may or may not be able to use this pump. Most 4 inch well casings are true "4 inch INSIDE Diameter" and with slight modification to the plastic housing of this pump, Will allow the pump to slide down the pipe. We have seen some 4 inch diameter well casings which are too small diameter to allow use of this pump. 3-Chamber, Positive Diplacement diaphragm pump.
